Developed by Hart & Vine, the NSHVLL App allows users to discover new places and create to-do lists to share with friends.
As locals, we are constantly bombarded with requests from friends planning a trip to Nashville for recommendations. Because most recommendations come from people you know and trust, we designed this app to make it super simple for anyone to share their own lists.
NSHVLL is a platform for users who both consume and create content. For users looking to find things to do, or where to go for dinner, they can explore by neighborhood, filter by category or price, view on a map, or of course view other user’s lists. The minimalistic design lends to an intentionally productive user experience, making it fun to discover as well as create lists, which is what sets this apart from other platforms.
The logo is simple yet sophisticated. The strong element in the brand is the use of white space, which allows for the photography to be the main attraction. The family of colors provide balance and harmony, and don’t compete for the spotlight. The vibrant teal was chosen because it was energetic and cool, like the Music City, but is used minimally to keep the overall feeling classy and adventurous.
With one of the foundational goals being creating lists quickly and effortlessly, we designed a simple two-step process. The first step is to create a list name, and we’ve provided creative list suggestions to spark ideas. The next step is simply to add places to the list. Start typing, and places matching the query populate from the database. Select and optionally add a note. Drag and drop to arrange. Everything is automatically saved. Share the list or keep it private.
