Technicolor Women

Calling out the God-given identity in women around the world, Technicolor Woman is the brand moniker for author, speaker, and musician Courtney Smallbone. When she came to us to dream with her about bringing this brand to life, we freaked out (disco style) with our shared passion for all things vintage and colorful. But more than that, we believed in the purpose behind the project, to empower women of every age, color, and stage.

Its vintage appeal mixed with the connection to light and color made a disco ball the center for our exploration. We lost ourselves in a nostalgic world that had us drawing inspiration from the iconic TWA Airlines logo and roller skating rinks. (Do we really get paid for this? Someone pinch us.)

To fully express the energy and life that was at the core of this brand (and name), we needed a palette that could almost speak louder than words.

From print to digital, we created a strategy to ensure the vibrancy and sass would remain front and center—relevant now as much as it would have been in the 1970s.
